A word from Richard Peacock Jr, President Why are we running those Buckner Fanning television spots? For 36 years, Buckner (click here for his website) was my pastor, and I remember when these spots first began airing in the late '70s. They were initially created with the idea that they'd be shown for a few months as a community service to the city. They ended up airing literally all over the world, for over 27 years, and were seen over 1 BILLION TIMES by millions and millions of people. Given Buckner's retirement from the church in 2001, they've not been aired in several years. I miss them, and a lot of San Antonians do also, so we're bringing back his favorites - click on each icon below and you can view 25 of the over 1,000 spots that he taped over the years.
